In this 2025 edition, the festival wants to focus back on the world of comics to show the general public the talent hidden in this noble art of storytelling.
In this ninth edition, mad scientists or mad doctors take center stage. We’ll celebrate with screenings that pay homage to films where scientists obsess over achievements beyond their era’s knowledge, challenging the laws of physics and even God himself. Time to shout skyward: “It’s alive!”

The trajectory of this screenwriter is born from the transversality of two worlds: audiovisual and comics. For 90 Arte, he created works such as Impresiones de la Isla, together with Fernando Iglesias; La cuenta atrás, together with Sergi San Julián; and Los Heresiarcas, featuring drawings by Das Pastoras and Gorka, alongside Iglesias and San Julián. Together with Purita Campos, he began Las nuevas aventuras de Esther, the return of the iconic character from Spanish comics, of which three books and two novels were published: Esther cumple 40 and La elección de Esther.
Currently, he is working on the graphic novel “No a menos de 100 pies de distancia” with artist Keko, and the finale of “Las nuevas aventuras de Esther” with Aneke.
In his audiovisual curriculum, it’s worth highlighting his work on Xabarín Club, an iconic program of CRTVG, as well as his script coordination for the program Historias de Galicia. However, most of his career has been spent creating scripts for television series, such as Las Chicas del Cable, Velvet Colección, Hierro, Velvet, A Lei de Santos, Bajo Sospecha, Agua Seca, Padre Casares, or Matalobos.
Recently, he premiered the series Zorro on Amazon Prime and TVE, and, together with Keko, received the Fauve Polar SNCF award from the Angoulême Festival and the Zona Cómic Award, given by Spanish bookstores, as the best comic of 2023, for Contrition. He was also assistant director of Viñetas desde o Atlántico until its 25th edition.
