The 1st GFFF Zombie Walk arrives in Vigo as one of the most anticipated activities of the #9 edition of GFFF. What promises to be an unforgettable day will transform the city center into a festive zombie apocalypse, where creativity and terror join forces to create a unique experience.

A march that goes beyond terror

But is a zombie walk just people in costumes walking through the streets? Not at all! It’s pure artistic expression. It’s a celebration of creativity that breaks conventions and turns the streets into a living stage. Starting at 17:30, the MARCO Museum will transform into an authentic zombie dressing room, where professional makeup artists will transform any participant into a first-class living dead.

The chosen route is not random: from the emblematic MARCO to Alfonso XII promenade, 800 meters that will become the most spine-chilling and fun procession Vigo has ever seen. For 35-40 minutes, hundreds of zombies will take to the streets in a parade that promises to be as terrifying as it is spectacular.

The flash mob that pays homage to a classic

But that’s not where it ends. At 21:15, on the Alfonso XII promenade, all participants will have the opportunity to take part in a special flash mob to the sound of “Time Warp” from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. A tribute to the cult musical that GFFF celebrates in 2025, because what better way to honor a freak cinema classic than with a massive choreography in the heart of Vigo?

Zombie runway and the ultimate prize

The day will culminate with a zombie runway where a jury of audiovisual professionals will evaluate creativity, makeup quality, and character interpretation. The best zombie of the night will take home the coveted “Zombie Freak 2025” award, a distinction we promise will be worthy of the best living dead.

How to participate

Participation is completely free and open to people of all ages. You can come in character already or take advantage of the professional makeup service, which will be available from 17:30 in the vicinity of the MARCO Museum.

To participate in the final zombie runway, registration will be required through this form.

Schedule of the day

  • 17:30 – Opening of the zombie dressing room and registrations (MARCO Museum)
  • 20:00 – Preliminary instructions and start of the GFFF Zombie Walk (MARCO Museum)
  • 21:15 – “Time Warp” Flash mob (Paseo de Alfonso XII)
  • 21:30-22:30 – Zombie runway and prize presentation (Paseo de Alfonso XII)
